Our Grammie has every possible piece of china to hold an elaborate dinner. When Brooklyn discovered this, she set out to USE every last piece. So in researching some cooking magazines, she selected a menu, spanning 7 courses, listed out ingredients, and took me shopping. I found myself searching and mispronouncing, many new and foreign food items (jamaica and saffron were new ones), to help her pull off this dinner. We invited our uncles and aunts, who arrived in top hats and tiaras, spent days cooking and stirring and designing each menu item. A small dinner bell was used to mark each course. Hallie helped courie out new plates, fill glasses with sparkling cider, and define each creation. "My arms hurt!" Brooklynn was heard saying many times. Cooking is HARD WORK (she realized)! But each course was a masterpiece, taking about 1 hour total to finish serving. Wow, I have a new respect for kitchen chefs! Bon Apetite!
impressive! we won't be surprised to see her name at the top of the next list of top chefs to watch!!
